Jeff Meeker, the 2004 & 2010 Iowa Conference Volleyball Coach of the Year, recently completed his 10th season at Cornell. The 2011 Rams finished 28-6, won the Iowa Conference Tournament and made their first National Championship appearance. The 2011 squad featured All-American and IIAC MVP Kathleen O’Connor (SO-Waukegan, IL); First Team All-IIAC / IIAC Freshman of the Year, Taylor Dicus (Mt. Vernon); Second Team All-Conference Libero, Kylea Weber (FR-Mount Vernon); and Honorable-Mention setter, Sabrina Hargis (FR-Bondurant).

Meeker, a graduate of Mount Vernon High School, received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Knox College. He received a master’s degree in sport psychology from the University of Iowa.
Meeker has conducted camps throughout Iowa and Illinois over the past 18 years. He has taken Iowa Region teams to the USA volleyball High Performance Championships the past three years, highlight by a 4th place finish in 2008. He will coach the WJNT team this summer at the HP Championships in Des Moines. Meeker, with Championship Productions, produced his first instruction video in 2010, “Brain Games for Better Volleyball Play.”
Meeker and his wife, Monica, reside in Mount Vernon with their four children, Sydney, Jackson, Jayden and Jensen.
