Facilities/Directions

Cornell College features indoor and outdoor facilities for 19 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports. The centerpiece of Cornell's athletics facilities is the Richard and Norma Small Multi-Sport Center, which houses indoor venues for competition, practice and community recreation along with offices, locker rooms and training rooms.

Ash Park Stadium

Cornell has committed nearly $1.3 million in expansion, improvement and Ash Park Stadium renovation projects to its facilities since 2007. The football and track and field teams compete in historic and picturesque Ash Park Stadium, which seats 2,500. Encircling the football field is an eight-lane track, dedicated in 2000.

The Meyer Strength Training Facility

The Meyer Strength Training Facility, which opened in 2001, nearly doubled in size to 5,800 square feet and includes several pieces of new equipment. In September 2007, a new purple Mondo surface was installed for the indoor track and surrounding areas of the arena of the Multi-Sport Center.

Directions

Mount Vernon is located at the intersection of Highways 1 and 30, just 12 miles east of I-380 and 20 miles north of I-80. The Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids (CID) is fifteen minutes away from campus and offers shuttle service to Mount Vernon.

Directions to Mt Vernon from the Eastern Iowa Airport (CID)

    * Turn right from the airport and drive two miles east on Wright Brothers Blvd.
    * Go north on I-380 (toward Cedar Rapids) for 2 miles
    * Go east on Hwy 30 for 12 miles to the four-way stop at Hwy 1
